A view gives you access to part of a dataset. Depending on your role, you can add, edit, or see different parts of the data.
Both images below show the same “IT Projects” dataset. In this example, Jane is using a view called “Managers”, she can see and change everything in this dataset.
On the same dataset John is using a view called “Approved Projects” that only lets him see projects that have been approved and the project managers. He cannot make any changes and he cannot see any financial data.
